Introduction

vCompress Pro is a professional encoding and transcoding Windows software tool for H.264 AVC, MVC and SVC CODEC profiles. It is designed to produce H.264 content for most popular video player applications like Microsoft Silverlight, Adobe Flash, Apple iOS (iPhone, iPad), Android, Blu-ray and many more. vCompress Pro is comprised of an easy to use Graphical Interface application and a command line driven engine. The Graphical Interface Windows application offers an extensive list of presets making it easy to produce complex, multi-bitrate video configurations for adaptive streaming. It also offers an extensive advanced settings menu for manual configuration. The command line engine offers this same flexibility for a product environment of a workflow.

vCompress Pro is a very powerful tool because it's based on VSS 4th generation H.264 SDK which has been selected for its best quality and performance by many leaders of Broadcast, Video Communication, Internet and mobile streaming and other markets. Its power is to bring the advanced video coding capability of VSS SDK in a ready to use, menu or command driven interface. In the hands of a video professional it can produce amazing video quality with the highest efficiency and compatibility. At same time, its presets allow for a novice to create complex configurations like multi-file adaptive streaming VOD content. These presents are targeted at the following player and VOD applications.

  • PC and device (local) playback including Sony, Apple, Microsoft, Android, Nintendo, etc.
  • Blu-ray disc -- 2D & 3D
  • Broadcast VOD
  • Streaming VOD -- Silverlight, Flash & Mobile (iOS, Android)
  • Archiving -- Mezzanine file for archiving and mastering

vCompress Pro also offers manual CODEC configurations for video professionals including advanced settings for H.264 AVC, MVC and SVC. More detailed information is available in vCompress Pro tech specs.
